On saturday evening, Alexandre Mattiussi (AMI) presented his spring/summer 2013 collection during Paris Menswear Fashion Week. The show took place in what could remain the only real country-side house in the center of Paris. Models were standing/seating around a table giving, as much as their clothes, a feeling of a living french “way of life” scene. On the 8th of december, the french brand Feiyue (chinese term for “flying forward “) opened its first parisian flagship store, located on 31 Rue de Charonne, in the trendy and creative Bastille neighbourhood. The shop, which was designed by architect Jean-Guillaume Mathiaut, will sell the entire collection (shoes, t-shirts) as well as sunglasses and backpacks coming next year. After the Graffiti New York 80’s exhibition last spring, Paris’s Galerie Jérôme de Noirmont will show the new works of FUTURA 2000, one of the main and innovator new-yorker street artists. Born in 1955, FUTURA 2000 (originally Leonard McGurr) began painting at the age of 15 in tunnels and subway trains. Co-founder of the SA (Soul Artists), he associated with the 70s and 80s New York underground circle and was one of those rare artist who contributed to change the style of graffiti towards an real art form.
